I saw my wrist surgeon last Monday, to check on my hardware and find out if my pain was being caused by hardware issues. The surgeon said the x-ray looked great: my hardware looked "brand-new, with no wear and tear or screws loosening". Oddly, the x-ray doctor report did say screws were loosening, but I'm inclined to trust my wrist surgeon here. ( Read more... )

Found a new limit. Good news is that this is a finger-induced limit and not a new-wrist-induced limit, so it should get better with time (I have some post-surgery swelling still). Apparently my new metallic wrist doesn't like cool weather. It's been aching for days now and feels very, very stiff. I hope it gets used to the cold, or it's going to be a very long winter.

Never fails... exercise consistently for 3-4 weeks, get sick/hurt something. This time, I'm sick, likely with an ear infection that may be spreading everywhere. I'm going to see my PCP tomorrow if I don't feel significantly better. I'm going to bed in a minute ( Read more... )
